Safety Advisor – Startrack Express Pty Limited – Sydney

You will provide expert safety technical advice and support to the business, empowering managers to make decisions that will reduce the risk of safety incidents as well being the first point of contact for managers for safety technical advice.

This role can be based from any StarTrack Office in NSW.

Requirements:

Provide expert safety advice and support on a wide range of safety processes and practices at a local level
Advice and support managers in their Safety Evaluation Achievement (SEA) visits
Perform risk assessments of local processes and systems e.g. Local Traffic Management Plans
Localise Enterprise risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure applicability to the Network environment
Advising and coaching managers in their incident reporting activities
Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the workforce he/she is aligned to, including its key stakeholders, current strategy and safety metrics

What you’ll need:

Previous experience in a Safety Advisory / OH&S role, within an operational environment is essential
Experience in the interpretation of Safety legislation, policies and processes
Sound knowledge of the risks associated with inappropriate action and/or failure to comply with Safety legislation, policy and processes
Able to engage, empower and influence network managers to make decision using their critical knowledge
Ability to prioirtise activities in light of competing demands
Ability to work as part of a remote team
