Pearson Australia is looking to appoint an experienced Project Editor to cover a maternity leave position for a period of 12 months. The successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly, and work in a fast-paced, small team to deliver a range of Higher Education Custom print and digital products to market. Working closely with sales, production, copyright and customer service teams, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, high volume and tight deadline driven environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have a combination of project management and negotiation skills within the educational publishing environment, be solutions focused and have the ability to plan and prioritise a large volume of projects. High-level proficiency in budget control and schedule management is essential to this role.

Selection criteria:

Tertiary qualification (mandatory)
Demonstrated achievements in online/digital and print production
Demonstrated experience in budget and schedule maintenance (essential)
Knowledge of, or experience in the higher education custom product (preferable)
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships (essential)
High level of professional integrity (mandatory)
Experience in critical problem solving and reasoning (essential)
The ability to initiate action and implement improvements (essential)
